The BJP on Friday filed a complaint against Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Somesh Goyal for allegedly siding with the Congress government and working on the directions of the Chief Minister.

The DGP has not deployed the Central security forces at the booth level and had kept them in the reserve. Out of 65 companies, only 20 have been deployed, claimed H.N. Kashyap, BJP convener of the election cell. The BJP has demanded that the safety of all voting machines be ensured by the Central forces only.

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is pressuring officials to work in favour of the ruling party against their wishes, the BJP claimed.
