Goa party slams Governor's action

March 13, 2017 07:03 pm | Updated 07:03 pm IST - Panaji

Goa Governor Mridula Sinha has violated the spirit of Constitution by inviting the BJP to form a government, which is not even the single largest party, in a hurry, Goa Suraksha Manch said on Monday and demanded that the Governor be shifted for the ''mistake''.

Party president Anand Shirodkar urged people to protest against the action and also write to the Governor expressing their protest against her action to allow Manohar Parrikar to become Chief Minister under pressure from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.

The party said it would educate people about the right to recall the regional parties and independent MLAs who have joined hands with the BJP overnight to grab power when they had defeated the same BJP in election.
