RSS leaders to monitor poll situation today

February 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 10:00 am IST - New Delhi:

With a view to ensuring smooth coordination between the Bharatiya Janata Party workers during polling, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leaders will monitor the situation in each of the 70 Assembly constituencies here on Saturday.

“In each constituency, RSS leaders will monitor the efforts by party workers, who have been asked to encourage people to cast their vote,” said a senior BJP leader. He also said that the decision to appoint an RSS leader in every constituency was taken at the top.

Nearly 1.33 crore voters here will decide the fate of 673 candidates in the fray for the elections. According to the Election Commission, voting will take place at 12,177 polling stations, of which 714 have been identified as “critical” and 191 as “highly critical”. — PTI
