Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that a senior leader of a rival party was conspiring to plant fake reports against his party candidates.

Accusing that the leader was trying to defame his party by planting such stories in the media, he warned that he may lodge a complaint with the Election Commission.

“A senior leader, famous 4 planting stories, has hatched conspiracy against some AAP candidates n they will plant fake stories in media,” said one of his tweets.

“Before the 2013 elections, they conducted a fake sting against six AAP candidates just a few days before the polling date. They can do so again,” said Mr. Kejriwal.

He termed such attempts as “desperate ones” by the Opposition.

“But Delhiites won’t believe it. They know this is last desperate attempt of our opponents who r losing badly...We are making a complaint to EC also,” another tweet said.

Another party leader Ashish Khetan said the AAP had its own sources through which it has gathered information about the possibility of such stings ahead of the February 7 polls.
