Kiran's blueprint for Delhi's economy

As Delhi BJP released its vision document for the National Capital region on Tuesday, its chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi listed out ten point plan to make "Delhi's economy more vibrant than ever."

The former IPS officer in her personal twitter handle >@thekiranbedi , revealed her 10-point plan for traders, businesspersons and entrepreneurs, called #KiransBlueprint on Monday.

1) Until GST is implemented, simplification of VAT policies, procedures and implementation, to remove all bottlenecks, complexity and corrupt practices in collection, refunds, filing and reporting.

2) Once GST is implemented, ensure that Delhi receives fair and adequate compensation from the Centre, if required.

3) Company incorporation procedures to be simplified & made fully online for easy & quick setup of new businesses in Delhi.

4) Encourage entrepreneurship via incubation support through facilitation of investment forums as well as leverage unused spaces to create co-working spaces for startups.

5) Rationalization of stamp duties and registration fees to ensure higher collection.

6) Start single window clearance for VAT, excise and entertainment tax & extend loan facilities for women entrepreneurs.

7) Raising Delhi’s “Ease of Doing Business”ranking in d country &d world by simplifying&facilitating several procedures including starting a business, dealing w/ construction permits,getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, & simplifying tax regimes.

8) Reducing documentation, time and costs associated with trading across borders.

9) Better lighting and pavement facilities around markets and expediting of existing repair works to ensure more footfalls.

10) Continuous and regular dialogue with trader-entrepreneur associations and chambers of commerce to garner feedback and stay current with ongoing issues.
