At a rally in the Kalkaji constituency, Amit Shah said that when they asked the Jal Board for a report Mr. Kejriwal’s comment regarding Haryana BJP putting poison in Yamuna water, they responded that he was lying and nothing of the sort was happening. “I want to ask Kejriwal Ji if he has any report on this, then he should release it and we will take responsibility.”
Addressing a rally at Patparganj, Rahul Gandhi said we want a ‘Hindustan’ of love and unity, however, the RSS and BJP stir divisions between brothers, religions, and castes, and Mr. Kejriwal says whatever comes to his mind. “When he first appeared, he promised a new kind of politics, but when the poor needed him, he vanished. During Delhi’s violence, he was nowhere. He promised clean politics, yet the biggest liquor scam unfolded under his rule,” he said.
As the capital gears up for the Assembly Election, which will take place on February 5, 2025, fiery campaigns from rival political parties are well underway. Today (January 28, 2025), the city will witness several rallies and public meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath campaigning across constituencies.

The days leading up to the poll have also been marked by political parties trading barbs. On Monday, the AAP govt in Delhi alleged that the level of ammonia in the water is high, accusing the Haryana government for this “deliberate” act. Election Commission of India has directed the Haryana Government to immediately provide factual report on the matter today.
The 70-member Delhi Assembly goes to the polls on February 5 and the votes will be counted on February 8.
