Highlights of AAP's manifesto

The party promises to make Delhi a hub for education, tourism, trade and service sector ensuring employment generation.

The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday released its poll manifesto. Apart from promises of ensuring all round development of Delhi, the party also made specific statements.

Here are the top promises:

1 Make Delhi a hub for education, tourism, trade and service sector ensuring employment generation.
2 15 lakh cameras to be installed to improve women's safety.
3 Retirement age for Delhi Government employees to remain 60, will bring housing and cashless health scheme for them.
4 Stop dumping of industrial waste and sewerage into Yamuna.
5 Promote generic drugs, give security to doctors.
6 Every village will have school and hospital, no forcible land acquisitions.
7 Farmers to be provided subsidised seeds and fertilisers.
8 Reduce VAT in the Capital, to check evasion and inflation.
9 Education system to produce job providers not job seekers.
10 Citizens' Lad Funds will be introduced, people will decide how to spend money meant for their development.
11 Ensure free lifeline water of up to 20 kiloliters (20,000 liters) to every household per month.
12 Build 2 lakh toilets across Delhi: about 1.5 lakh toilets in slums and JJ clusters and 50,000 toilets in public area.
13 Build 500 new schools with a special focus on secondary and senior secondary schools.
14 Create 900 new Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and 30,000 more beds in Delhi hospitals.
15 Set up Mahila Suraksha Dal or Women’s Security Force made up of a 10,000 strong Home Guard.
16 Make Wi-Fi freely available in public spaces across Delhi.
17 Fill 55,000 vacancies in the Delhi government and autonomous bodies of the Delhi Government.
18 Delhi Ridge will be protected from encroachment and deforestation.
19 Prevent drug trafficking by means of tight monitoring and ensuring strict punishment for the guilty.
20 Initiate a universal and non-contributory old age pension system.
