Former Minister Kondru Muralimohan on Thursday said the development of Srikakulam and the State would be a reality only if the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was voted to power.

He said the Chandrababu Naidu government could develop the State although it was faced with many issues.

TDP nominee Mr. Muralimohan filed nomination for the Rajam Assembly constituency in the presence of former Union Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju.

Lost in 2014

Rajam is part of the Vizianagaram parliamentary seat which Mr.Raju is contesting.

Mr. Muralimohan won from the seat in 2009 on a Congress ticket by defeating former State Assembly speaker K.Pratibha Bharati. However, he was defeated by Kambala Jogulu of the YSR Congress Party in 2014.

As a TDP candidate, he exuded confidence that he would get a comfortable majority in the constituency.

Another files papers

Meanwhile, TDP’s Srikakulam Assembly candidate Gunda Lakshmi Devi filed nomination after organising a rally in the city, in which Srikakulam parliamentary seat candidate K. Rammohan Naidu took part. TDP nominee K. Ravikumar filed nomination for the Amadalavalasa constituency.
