Chief Minister and national president of TDP Chandrababu Naidu on Monday appealed to the people to vote him back to power to take the State into the league of developed States.
Addressing a meeting of party workers here, Mr. Naidu said he had been the No. 1 driver steering the State out of trouble for the last five years.
“The TDP has given prominence to Guntur and has selected Amaravati as the Capital. This place was ruled by Gautamiputra Satakarni and had been the birthplace of many freedom fighters. NTR studied in AC College and used to have fond memories of this town,’’ he said.
Listing out the achievements of the TDP government, Mr. Naidu said he had ensured continuous power triggering faster development. Farm loan waiver, construction of individual household latrines and facilitating industrial growth through single window clearance system had powered the State into top ranking in the ease of doing business.
In a caustic reference, the CM alleged that the YSR Congress Party was trying to draw political mileage even in the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy.
“They tried to tamper with the evidence and project it as a suicide. But the special investigation team will soon come out with the truth and I will spare no one.’’
Ministers Nara Lokesh, Prathipati Pulla Rao and Nakka Ananda Babu and MP Galla Jayadev were present.
