As many as 40 candidates filed nominations across the district on Thursday.
Those who have filed papers include Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao (TDP) for the Chilakaluripet seat, Lavu Krishnadevarayulu (YSRCP) for the Narsaraopet parliamentary seat, Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy (YSRCP) for the Narsaraopet Assembly seat, Vidadala Rajani (YSRP) for the Chilakaluripet Assembly seat, Maddai Giridhar (TDP) for the Guntur West Assembly seat and Bolla Brahma Naidu (YSRCP) for the Vinukonda seat.
On Friday, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao (TDP) for the Narsaraopet parliamentary seat, Galla Jayadev for the Guntur parliamentary seat and Kodela Siva Prasada Rao for the Sattenapalli seat will file nominations.
