Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship

Maulana Azad Education Foundation, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, is offering financial support to school-going girls belonging to any minority community, for their continuous, gap-free education.

Eligibility: Girls belonging to any minority community — Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis, studying in classes IX to XII, who has secured minimum 50% or equivalent in aggregate, in previous class with family income not more than ₹ 2 lakh.

Prizes and rewards: Students of classes IX and X will receive ₹ 10,000 and classes XI and XII ₹12,000 in two equal instalments.

Griffith University Palaeontology Scholarship

Doctoral aspirants in study of taphonomy and site formation processes related to the vertebrate fossils are invited by Griffith University, Australia, to apply for the Ph.D. scholarship.

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed or expect to complete bachelor’s degree with first class honours or equivalent in geology, palaeontology, archaeology or any other discipline required for the project, and intend to enrol full-time in an approved doctoral programme.

Prizes and rewards: The scholar will be awarded with AUD 26,682 p.a. for up to four years and will join Australian Research Centre for Human Evolution.

FAER McAfee Scholar Awards Programme

The programme encourages creativity and innovation among polytechnics and engineering students, particularly those belonging to rural and semi-urban areas, and motivates them to work on areas and topics of relevance related to rural areas, rural communications, agricultural information systems, e-governance, resource utilisation, ecology, watershed development, renewable resources, and so on.

Eligibility: Meritorious students from engineering institutions will be selected by experts in the areas of computer science, mobile communications, renewal energy systems, signal processing, rural technologies, healthcare technologies, labour saving technologies of women, ecology and environment and mobile applications.

Prizes and rewards: First, second, and third position holders will be recipients of ₹ 1,00,000, ₹ 75,000 and ₹ 50,000, respectively.
