Amount of fine slapped by the Security and Exchange Board of India on 19 individuals for partaking in fraudulent share transactions of Ushdev International, a metal-trading company. They indulged in practices like executing repetitive self-trades, reversal trades and price manipulation through last trading price (LTP) contribution, new high price (NHP).

Number of Tripura-based militant organisations whose legal legitimacy is to be decided by a tribunal headed by Delhi High-Court Justice Suresh Kait. According to the Home Ministry the two outfits, the National Liberation Front of Tripura and All Tripura Tiger Force, have been engaging in violent activities and are spreading terror among the locals in the state to achieve their objectives.

Amount allocated by the Mizoram government for election expenses in the state, according to finance department. The officials further said that the expense incurred during the previous assembly polls was ₹24.30 crore. Mizoram is scheduled to go to polls on November 28.

Rise in coal output in the country during the period of April-October in the current financial year, according to official data. The present coal output is 370.3 million tonnes (MT). The coal output this time in the previous fiscal-year was 335.2 MT.

Persons injured when a tractor-trolley, in which they were travelling, overturned on the Delhi-Dehradun national highway in Muzaffarnagar. The injured, mostly women, have been admitted to the local district hospital.
