What! That’s probably your first reaction to this sentence.

Now, re-read this sentence with the punctuation: Rishab loves cooking, his dog and his family. Phew!

See what a difference a simple comma can make?

Punctuations like a comma, exclamation mark, quotation mark, apostrophe, and so on add clarity and stress in sentences, thereby helping convey the right meaning as intended.

“Help” doesn’t sound as urgent and spur one to act as “Help!”

The day after tomorrow was great. Confusing, isn’t it? Add quotes and you’ll understand the statement refers to the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” .
