Silver for Vihan, bronze for Ankita

Fifteen-year-old Shardul Vihan won silver in the men’s double trap shooting event in the ongoing Asian Games, managing a score of 73, one behind South Korea’s gold medal winner Shin Hyunwoo, who shot 74.

In women’s singles tennis, Ankita Raina lost her semi-final against top-seed China’s Zhang Shuai, thereby settling for bronze.

Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan, meanwhile, registered a hard-fought 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory against Japan’s Kaito Uesugi and Sho Shimabukuro to progress to the men’s doubles final.
