Anita’s brother doesn’t want to play with her as she can never catch the ball.
Her friend Sheela is angry as she did not wave back.
Turned away by her brother and other friends, little Anita’s only companion is the big banyan tree behind their house. Alone, she sits under the tree, listening to it sing its beautiful songs.
Anita’s mother worries about her daughter not playing with other children and decides to find out why Anita is by herself.
And the reason is surprising and least expected.
