Kidambi Srikanth and P V Sindhu joined compatriots Saina Nehwal, H S Prannoy and B Sai Praneeth in making their progress to the next round of the French Open Super Series event.

While Srikanth benefited from his opponent retiring in the opening game, Sindhu got the better of Beatriz Corrales 21-19 21-18.

Russell Westbrook scored 28 points, added 10 rebounds and made 16 assists as Oklahoma City Thunder handed the visiting Indiana Pacers a 114-96 defeat.

Paul George, playing his first game against his former club, was nagged by foul trouble before eventually fouling out, having managed just 10 points in their victory.

Napoli back on top of Serie A

Dries Mertens scored two goals and forced a third through an own goal in Napoli’s come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Genoa.

Juventus and Lazio remain joint third, a point behind second-placed Inter Milan, with wins in their respective encounters.
