Cheteshwar Pujara did everything right till he was run out in what turned out to be the final ball of day one of the first Test between India and Australia at Adelaide.

With wickets tumbling around him, Pujara patiently compiled a fighting 123 that allowed India to end the day at 250 for nine, after having been reduced to 127 for six at one stage.

Despite going a goal down in their game against Burnley, Liverpool struck back with three goals to win their Premier League encounter and stay within two points of leaders Manchester City.

Elsewhere on Wednesday, Manchester United and Arsenal played out an entertaining 2-2 draw while Chelsea were defeated by Wolves, 2-1. Tottenham Hotspur made the most of their London rivals dropping points to move third in the table, courtesy a 3-1 win over Southampton.
