Griffin scores 30 to power Pistons past Magic in overtime
The Detroit Pistons blew a 11-point lead in the fourth quarter of the game but emerged victorious in the end, defeating the Orlando Magic 120-115 in overtime.
Blake Griffin was the star for the Pistons with 30 points, which included the last seven scored in overtime.

Henry’s Monaco and Vieira’s Nice play out 1-1 draw
Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira are old friends, having won the 1998 World Cup and the European Championship in 2000 with France, along with years of joy while playing for Arsenal.
The two men were facing each other this time, as their sides were playing in Ligue 1. Henry’s Monaco and Vieira’s Nice played out a 1-1 draw in the end.

Halep staggers into third round
Women’s top seed Simona Halep found herself a break down in the final set against Sofia Kenin before taking the last four games to win 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-4 and progress to the third round at the Australian Open.
US Open champion Naomi Osaka registered a straight sets win to advance to the third round. Her countryman, Kei Nishikori, was pushed to five sets by big-serving Ivo Karlovic, but managed to come out on top in the end.
Milos Raonic was also stretched in his game against Stanislas Wawrinka, but emerged victorious in four sets, with each of them going into a tie-breaker.
