D o you know anyone who is eternally and infectiously happy? Well, if you haven’t, then its time to meet the Trolls. These small creatures are always happy. They spend their entire day singing, dancing and hugging each other. They have dance in their step and a song on their lips always. But their happiness can last only till they are alive and together.
Bergens, the large giants that live in the forests can never ever be happy unless they eat a troll. Twenty years ago, there was to be a celebration for the crowning of the crown prince Gristle Jr. and his first taste of a Troll. The Chef in the Royal Kitchen had the trolls ready to be cooked. But, the Trolls, led by King Peppy manage to escape through underground tunnels. The furious King Bergen banishes the chef. Twenty years, she wandered around in the forests.
In the forests, Princess Poppy, King Peppy’s daughter wants to throw a party to celebrate their freedom. Despite warnings from her rather glum friend Branch she attracts the attention of Bergens who capture many of her friends.
The chef hears something in the distance...what could it be? A celebration! And the trolls are at the party. Is this her time to make a comeback?

Trolls, the movie is based on the Troll dolls. The original dolls were made in Denmark in 1958 by Thomas Dam. They were originally stuffed with wood shavings.

Poppy: An eternal optimist, she finds inspiration from within. She is empowered, capable, confident, strong, resolute, collaborative and inclusive. She is never shy and loves to listen to herself and often ignores warning. She is so happy that it’s irritating at times at least for Branch.
Branch: He’s Poppy’s disgruntled counterpart and partner and the sole paranoid Troll. Long after the Trolls’ liberation from Bergen captivity, he was the only one who continued to see the Bergens as a threat, but no one in town believed him. He is constantly preparing for the worst. He has lost his sense of joy and is not comfortable with the over-the-top positivity of the Trolls.
Chef: Life has never been the same for her after the Trolls escaped from Bergen Town. She lost it all — her reputation, admirers, and a coveted spot in the Royal Kitchen.
