Synopsys acquires Sidense

Synopsys, Inc., a Nasdaq-listed firm, announced that it had acquired Sidense Corporation, a leading provider of solutions for automotive, mobile, industrial and Internet of Things (IoT) applications, according to a statement on the company’s website.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. With this acquisition, Synopsys gains access to proven, market-leading process technologies along with a team of highly experienced R&D engineers. “Sidense’s [solutions] offer designers a secure, area-efficient solution for fuse replacement, secure key storage, device ID, analog trim, and code storage,” said Joachim Kunkel, general manager of the Solutions Group.
