NTT Data buys 55.35% in Atom

Japan-based NTT Data has acquired a majority stake in Atom Technologies, a payment services solutions company owned by 63 Moons Technologies, which was formerly known as Financial Technologies India Ltd (FTIL).

According to a stock exchange notification, 63 Moons Technologies has executed a share purchase agreement with NTT Data Corporation for sale of its 55.35% stake in Atom Technologies for an aggregate consideration of $9.24 million.

This signals NTT Data’s foray into the rapidly expanding Indian payments market. and the company aims to strengthen its business presence in the South Asian markets, stated a release by 63 Moons while adding that NTT Data is one of the largest IT companies globally with a presence across over 50 countries and revenues of $19 billion.
