The core industry of a particular firm often defines its space. The bigger the company, the bigger the number of clients that you've to cater to and endorse a universal vibe in your interiors. Workspace trends change quickly and that balance is tough to achieve but Value Momentum, located at Financial District, gives it a good shot. Adequate green cover to the expansive setup at the lounge is a surprise visual element. On the whole, its space bears the outlook of a conventional IT solutions firm but what's appreciable is its focus on little elements, aspects that their counterparts would probably ignore.

Sample the hexagonal seating system that could turn into an emergency meeting spot when needed, a ‘new mother' section that respects the needs of pregnant women, abundant conference rooms, the sleek communication pods to attend phone calls, the wide corridor space are other instances where the effort to ensure flexibility to its members truly shows. In tune with their logo, the splattering of red and white in the furniture reflects in the interior elements. The discussion rooms, also called huddle spaces, comprise foldable walls that could act as a link between two sections of an office.

The identity of the interiors change as per the clients (read-offshore development centres), the subtle decor changes work well to break the uni-dimensional nature of the multi-storeyed space. What however unifies all its teams is a select set of keywords (spread across the furniture) and inspiring quotes from global achievers that the company associates itself with. The cubicles come with more space. For every use of vibrant hues like green, blue and orange, there are shades of grey (in the form of carpets, furniture) ringing in a calming effect. The CEO's cabin arguably offers the best view of the natural dimension of Financial District.

The space has undergone several transformations to appeal to the younger lot. Adjacent to the gym are the cafeterias (that could accommodate over 250 people) with a projection system which are often used to host community events, informal meets (besides pantries across all levels). The white wall that the projector faces can be used to watch cricket matches on a wide canvas. The lounge area was witness to zumba, table tennis events recently.

Ravi Rao, the president of the Asia-Pacific division of the firm says, “We believe workspaces should facilitate more interactions, spontaneity. Whatever we do to enhance that is a plus. Colour is an aspect we use to make it neutral to the choices of all people. We give enough space to our employees to add life to the workstations.” Udaya Ramani Varanasi and Lata Madhuri Goparaju of Shrusti Associates, those behind the architectural design of Value Momentum, add, “The mix between functionality and vibrancy is achieved by the use of wood which adds warmth to the space. The furniture is flexible to time and trend changes.”

Besides floating desks, the firm is considering to include customer experience centres, solar panels and crèches in its workspace soon.
