Lanco Solar, a subsidiary of Lanco Infratech, along with its consortium partner Juwi Renewable India on Thursday announced that it had bagged an order to build a 75 MW solar power plant at Dhule in Maharashtra at a cost of Rs.884.18 crore.
The company bagged the contract from the Maharashtra State Power Generation Co Ltd (Mahagenco), according to a statement issued here. The project would be fully commissioned by mid-February, 2012. Talking in the context of the latest project and the need to focus on renewable energy and its future plans, Lanco Group Chairman L. Madhusudhan Rao said the solar power generation capacity would reach 68,000 MW by 2021-22, triple the government's target.
