Japan's Ricoh on Wednesday said it plans to expand its presence in the Indian market by introducing new printing solutions in order to increase its revenue to Rs.1,000 crore by 2014 from the current level of over Rs.300 crore.
The company is now offering its newest innovations in production print technology in India, including high-speed production print solutions and automated document factory portfolio (ADF).
“We are growing fast in India…we aim to achieve Rs.1,000 crore turnover by 2014,” Ricoh India Chief Financial Officer Manoj Kumar told journalists here. In India, the company enjoys 50 per cent market share in the production printer category and 20 per cent in the multi-functional printers. Ricoh India's almost 75 per cent sales come through channel partners, he added.
About Ricoh India's recent acquisition of Noida-based Momentum Infocare Pvt. Ltd. in the information technology space, Ricoh Asia Pacific Managing Director Nobuaki Majima said: “We have successfully achieved the integration of InfoPrint and production print assets in the region — people, solutions and sales and support coverage — and are now working together in a seamless way.”
Stating that all Ricoh subsidiaries in Asia Pacific will now carry the full portfolio of Ricoh production innovations, Mr. Majima said: “As a result of this integration, Ricoh increases the service and sales coverage of Ricoh production print solutions to all major countries in Asia Pacific.
“Each Ricoh subsidiary can now bring the benefits of the combined production print solutions portfolio from InfoPrint and Ricoh to our customers, further extending our value proposition as a one-stop solution provider for high end cutsheet to continuous form printers, print management solutions and managed services.”
