SAMCO Ventues, promoter and holding company of SAMCO Securities, a Mumbai-based broking firm, said in a statement that it had received good response to its discount broking model, launched in May. Under this, a flat fee of Rs.20 per transaction was charged irrespective of the order size, resulting in significant savings in brokerage costs, according to Jimeet Modi, CEO, Samco Ventures. While sharing the progress of Indian Trading League launched by SAMCO, he said Tamil Nadu was an important market for the company and a service centre would be opened in the region to facilitate quicker account opening and customer response. “The Indian Trading League is a unique proposition for traders and investors across India. The league takes trading and investing to a whole new level of experience,” Mr. Modi said. — S. Varadharajan
