Ramco Systems sets up subsidiary in Australia

August 24, 2012 12:26 am | Updated 12:27 am IST - CHENNAI:

Chennai-based Ramco Systems, an enterprise software company focused on cloud platform, products and services, on Thursday, said it had set up a wholly-owned subsidiary — Ramco Systems Australia Pty. — in Australia to drive business.

Looking at new areas

“We have been looking at expanding into new markets to take our products to a global level. In Australia, we are also looking at new areas such as government/municipal cloud solutions and the aviation business (cloud solutions for helicopters and aircraft),” Ramco Systems Chief Executive Officer Virender Aggarwal said.

“Australia is a mature IT services market and, thus, right for us. We have not invested too heavily into this as it is just a sales office right now – the total investment was under $500,000,’’ he added.

Mr. Aggarwal further said, “We believe, Ramco ERP on cloud, a comprehensive ERP offering available on cloud and accessible on iPAD, will find ready acceptance. We are presently in talks with both global and local players who will be our key strategic partner in marketing our offerings.

Mining and Natural Gas

“While our clientele will not mainly come from those in the manufacturing vertical, it will come from those who are present in the mining and natural gas sectors.”

Ramco Systems currently has 17 offices spread across India, the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and APAC.
