Kingfisher pays April salary

November 01, 2012 10:17 pm | Updated 10:17 pm IST - MUMBAI:

Keeping its promise, Kingfisher Airlines has paid the April salary to its employees. The salary for May will be released before Diwali.

The strike at Kingfisher was called off on October 25, when the employees accepted the management’s offer for payment of three months salary in a staggered manner before Diwali and the fourth salary in December. The salary for March was paid the moment the employees called off their strike.

Meanwhile, the airline is working to revoke the suspension of its licence. It is still not clear as to how many aircraft the airline would be flying and by when it restarts operation. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation wants a comprehensive revival plan before granting permission to fly again.
