High-end apartments from Landmark Construction

The demand for luxury housing segment is gaining momentum mainly in Tier-I cities, after a dip in the last two years, and the Chennai-based Landmark Construction has started tapping the segment again. Landmark, a player in all segments in apartments and villas from affordable homes to super luxury ultra premium lifestyle homes, launched ‘Vertica', high-end premium apartments on the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya day.

Addressing presspersons here on Friday, T. Udayakumar, Managing Director, said the project was located on Peters Road in the heart of the city. The premium apartment would have 17 floors and 82 units. There would be four two-bedroom flats of 2,000 sq. ft. each (Rs.2.89 crore), 64 three-bedroom flats of 2,350 sq. ft. each (Rs.3.61 crore) and 14 four-bedroom (Duplex) flats of 4,300 sq. ft each (Rs.6.25 crore).

This premium project is priced at Rs. 14,000 per sq. ft.

Vertica will have amenities such as a 1,600 sq. ft. infinity pool, mini theatre, billiards and games room, gents and ladies spa, aerobics and gym on the 16{+t}{+h} floor. It will have a mechanised 4-stack puzzle car parking facility to park around 200 cars. Each of the entertainment facilities at Vertica has been aptly named to suit its utilities.

Mr. Udayakumar said the Rs.261-crore project would be completed by November 2013. Already the company had 12 bookings. It was targeting non-resident Indians and high networth individuals.

The Managing Director said the company, established in 2000, so far completed 20 projects and delivered 5.5 lakh sq. ft. of projects. It had sizable land bank and would announce more projects in the next two years. Landmark, which clocked a turnover of Rs. 95 crore in 2010-11, is expected to record a Rs.250-crore turnover in 2011-12.
