HCL Info shares hog limelight on bourses

HCL Infosystems rose by 11.73 per cent to Rs. 49.05 on Friday on the Bombay Stock Exchange, and 11.43 per cent to Rs.48.75 on the National Stock Exchange, on reports that the company had won a Rs. 2,200 crore contract from the Unique ID Authority of India. “We also wish to clarify that our company is one of the shortlisted candidates amongst all the bidders in the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) project. The confirmation of winning the contract is not yet received by the company,” the company said in a notification to the stock exchanges.

DLF down

Realty major DLF was down 5.03 per cent to close at Rs. 203.85 on the BSE, extending its losses for the second day. A Canadian research firm, in its report, expressed concerns over the financial health of the company going by its accounting methods and business model.
