The India arm of French naval defence manufacturer DCNS India signed an agreement with Flash Forge India Pvt. Ltd, for manufacture of mechanical equipment.

Defence shipyard Mazagon Dock is building six Scorpene submarines under the DCNS transfer of technology. It said, following Indian authorities systematic pursue of indigenisation, DCNS is making a constant endeavour to go beyond the contractual transfer of technology with Mazagaon Docks so that vital equipments and systems could be locally manufactured. The project is running three years behind schedule and the first submarine is due in 2015.
