U.K.-based Fly Mobile on Monday introduced two touch-screen handsets — E140 and E146 — designed to support the highly connected lifestyle of the younger generation of mobile users. While E140 has been priced at Rs.3,200, E146 come with a price tag of Rs.3,600. “We recognise the importance of social networks in the modern mobile industry. The design and functionality of our touch-phones meet the needs of a highly digitally connected and style conscious youth audience. The two new handsets are specially targeted to Indian youth which likes to carry a phone to complement and enhance their lifestyle,” Fly India CEO Prem Kumar said in a statement.
Fly E140 is equipped with a built-in digital zoom camera with video recording and web-camera among other features. Content can be stored in phone memory or external memory card up to 8 GB. It comes with WAP and GPRS modem, and supports Java and embedded e-mail client.
Similarly, E146 is a sturdy handheld gadget where social networking services are combined with enhanced multimedia capabilities in a compact form. The handset is pre-installed with Opera mini browser and it enables mobile Internet, JAVA, GPRS and WAP.
