Yes Bank Q3 net up 52 p.c.

Private sector lender Yes Bank on Thursday reported a whopping 52 per cent increase in net profit at Rs. 191.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010.

Total income of the Bank rose to Rs. 1,287.82 crore during the third quarter, from Rs. 754.16 crore in the corresponding period last year, Yes Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

During the December quarter, Yes Bank’s interest income rose to Rs. 1,126.15 crore, from Rs. 626.36 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Shares of Yes Bank were trading at Rs. 271.75, up 0.70 per cent over previous close on the BSE.
