Buoyed by a 55.9 per cent increase in its net interest income and a 14 per cent increase in non-interest income, United Bank of India reported a 62.5 per cent increase in its net profit for 2010-11 which touched Rs.523.97 crore. UBI Chairman Bhaskar Sen said that advances had increased by 26.1 per cent, while deposits were up 14.2 per cent. Total business stood at Rs.13,1779 crore, recording a year-on-year growth of 19 per cent.
