Tata Power to buy 20.95 MW wind energy assets from Niskalp

Country’s leading wind energy producer, Tata Power, today said it is buying 20.95 MW wind energy assets from Niskalp Energy Limited in Maharashtra.

The company is also in the process of adding 150 mw more of wind capacity in the next two years by setting up turbines in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, it said in a statement issued here.

“The company is in the process of acquiring 20.95 MW operating wind assets in Maharashtra from Niskalp Energy Ltd,” it said, adding that it will shortly place an order for the new capacity addition of 150 MW.

Tata Power’s current capacity from wind energy stands at 200 MW with operational sites in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka.
