SBH net profit nearly doubles to Rs. 201 crore

State Bank of Hyderabad registered a 83 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs. 201.24 crore during the first quarter of 2010-11, against Rs. 110.24 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Total interest income improved by 18.16 per cent to Rs. 1,816.06 crore from Rs. 1,536.92.

The bank's total business reached Rs. 1,34,127 crore as on June, 2010, against Rs. 1,06,876 crore, a year-on-year growth of 26 per cent.

Total deposits stood at Rs. 79,633 crore against Rs. 64,079, recording a year-on-year growth of 24 per cent, while advances were of the order of Rs. 54,493 crore against Rs. 42,797, a year-on-year growth of 27 per cent.
