Harsh V. Lodha, son of the late R.S. Lodha, has been appointed as the Chairman of Birla Corporation, a company which has been in news over the ownership battle between the Birla clan and their one time auditor the late Rajendra Lodha. A BCL release said that the company’s board of directors has taken a unanimous decision to appoint Mr. Harsh Lodha as the Chairman.
The board also approved an interim dividend of Rs. 2.5 per share for 2009-10. The interim dividend marked the commemoration of BCL’s golden jubilee in cement business.
