Polaris declares Rs. 4.50

Polaris has recommended a dividend of Rs. 4.50 per share for the year ended March 31, 2011 against the total dividend of Rs. 3.50 in the corresponding period in the previous year.

According to a release, income from software services, products and business process management including other income has increased to Rs. 1,612.71 crore from Rs. 1,327.33 crore. Of the total revenue for the quarter ended March 31, 2011, U.S. (44 per cent) and Europe (24 per cent) account for the major share. Income from Asia Pacific operations was 18 per cent.

The net profit has increased by 32 per cent to Rs. 202 crore from Rs. 153 crore. Earnings per share of Rs. 5 each have increased to Rs. 20.28 from Rs. 15.34 crore.
