Idea Cellular is looking to achieve a wider spread across the country by rolling out its services in three new circles by the end of this year, a top company official said on Friday.

“We will launch our services in Kolkata by Diwali and in the north-east and Jammu and Kashmir before the end of the year,” Idea Cellular Chief Marketing Officer Pradeep Shrivastava said.

Idea, operating in 17 circles now, has been the fastest growing cellular services company in the last two years in terms of both revenues and subscriber base.

“From 44 million subscribers, we will soon touch 50 million,” Mr. Shrivastava told PTI.

Meanwhile, Idea Cellular has brought out a health music album “Walking Raagas” in association with Indian Music Academy (IMA). Actor Siddharth launched the album here today.

The 45-minute music album has been created specially for fitness enthusiasts, according to IMA spokesperson Durga Jasraj.

The album is a collection of various ragas and vedic mantras that have proved good for fitness, she said.
