Idea hits upon novel move

Mobile telephone service provider Idea Cellular has hit upon an inspirational idea into constructive action to channel the emotions of millions of helpless Indians, who watched in horror a few trigger strike with impunity serial terror across Mumbai on the night of November 26 last year, into constructive action.

Come the terrible hour of November 26, the nearly 53 million mobile telephone users of Idea Cellular will have an opportunity to convert their emotions into contributory actions for a national cause. They can do so for one hour — between 8:36 p.m. and 9:36 p.m. — on November 26 by simply making a phone call.

The net income of all voice calls made within the country during this ‘Talk for India Hour’ will be donated to the Central Government. The money thus raised will go to support initiatives to strengthen the national security.

This initiative is a first small step towards helping thousands of valiant men who risk their lives for the safety of common Indians. The Idea has a clear message: Don’t be quiet. Talk and do your bit for the nation.
