ExxonMobil, Petronet LNG sign contract

ExxonMobil and Petronet LNG have signed a sales and purchase agreement for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas. The deal worth Australian $25 billion will see around 1.5 million tonnes of LNG from the Gorgon project (Western Australia) sold into India annually over a 20-year term. The Gorgon area holds more than 40 trillion cubic feet of gas, says a release from the Australian High Commission.
