Aston Martin hopes to sell 30 cars in one year

Aston Martin, the new entrant into the ultra-luxury car market in India, showcased on Friday its three models — Rapide, Vantage S and DBS — in Chennai. The company, which has partnered Performance Cars (a division of Infinity Cars) and commenced its presence in India with a dedicated facility in Mumbai, hopes to sell 30 cars in 12 months.

Addressing presspersons here, Lalit Choudary, Managing Director, Performance Cars, said partnering Aston Martin was a unique opportunity to bring one of the world's iconic brands to one of the world's most discerning and fast growing markets.

So far, the company had received bookings in excess of 20 and 14 cars had already been delivered, Mr. Choudary said. South India would be an important market for the company with Chennai emerging as a big market for these types of cars, he added.
