Amtex consolidates global R&D in Chennai

Amtex Systems Inc, New York-headquartered global systems integrator and software solutions provider, on Tuesday, announced that it was consolidating its global development operations in Chennai.

“Chennai was the obvious choice when we decided to consolidate all research and development into a single location. We have had a successful development presence here for over a decade. Siruseri, where we are moving our facility, is becoming a hot technology/ knowledge hub with large global leaders being present there through large, unique facilities. And, Chennai continues to have a supply of talented professional in data analytics, business intelligence, open source and mobile technologies (Android/iOS),” said Sunny Pokala, president, Amtex Systems Inc.

Large space The consolidated R&D presence will be housed in a 1.20 lakh 1, 20,000 sq. ft. area, and can accommodate over 1,800 people. There is adequate capacity for further expansion in the complex.

The new facility is expected to serve the firm’s increasing thrust on transformation from services to a product company by innovation and IP (intellectual property) creation. It will also be incubating new product ideas in the facility, said a company statement.

“Amtex products are the innovation engines that help customers succeed in a constantly changing market. The new facility was built to support this transformation and will be the key driver for the change we are making in our business model,” said Mr.Pokala.
