Ashok Leyland (AL) has announced that its pick-up truck Dost has achieved cumulative sales of one lakh units since its launch in September 2011. In less than 4 years, Dost has become the 2nd largest brand in its category. It is today the largest volume brand in the Ashok Leyland portfolio, with customers, not just in India, but across countries such as Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Malawi, Male, and UAE. Also, Dost is the only small truck that has been recording positive growth amid slowdown in the LCV segment. “Thanks to a comprehensive customer-friendly service care package, that includes Bharosa, an extended warranty of up to 3 years/1.5 lakh kms.
