ShipRocket is targeting a 5% share of the e-commerce logistics market to achieve revenues of more than $2 million by December 2017. The e-commerce logistics industry processes about 10-15 lakh orders a day, of which ShipRocket, owned by BigFoot Retail Solutions, processes about 10,000 orders a day.
“We aim to increase revenue by targeting 5% of all the e-commerce shipments that take place in India by the end of 2017,” Gautam Kapoor, COO at BigFoot Retail Solutions told The Hindu .
He added, “BigFoot will be at an annualised revenue run rate of $3 million by March-end, of which Shiprocket will contribute $0.8-$1 million. For December 2017, the annualised revenue run rate for ShipRocket will be a little over $2 million.” BigFoot Retail Solutions also owns e-commerce firm Kraftly and do-it-yourself platform for SMEs KartRocket. Total volume of daily e-commerce shipments ranges from 10-15 lakh, of which 70% is by the big four marketplaces in India, while 30% is through e-tailers from their websites or small marketplaces. “We are looking at strengthening our channel partnerships with other seller-focused platforms in India... ranging from other vendor-tool players, payment gateways and CRM service providers,” he added.
