India’s third-largest software exporter Wipro announced an average wage hike of 7% for its employees in India. For its onsite employees (workforce abroad) the average salary hike is 2%. The hike is in line with its rivals Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services which already made the announcements this year.

"In line with industry standards, Wipro Ltd has announced a salary increase for eligible employees, effective June 1, 2015. The average salary hike would be 7% for offshore employees and 2% for onsite employees, respectively,” said Saurabh Govil, Global Head - Human Resources, Wipro Limited. “High performers are being rewarded with substantially higher increases in their compensation,” said Govil.

He said Wipro has also increased the fixed pay component in the employee salaries, at the junior and mid-management levels.

This year Wipro’s rival Infosys handed out average wage hike of 6.5% for its employees in India and a salary hike of 2% for its workforce abroad. Wipro’s other rival TCS rolled out average salary hike of 8% for employees in India and an average pay raise of about 2-4% for its onsite employees.
