Volkswagen India rolls out one-millionth car

Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd. rolled out the one-millionth car from its Pune assembly line on Friday. The celebratory car, the made-for-India Volkswagen Carbon Steel Ameo, was rolled out in presence of the company’s managing director Gurpratap Boparai, its director Steffen Knapp, the top management and some of the oldest employees, who have been part of the production department at the Pune plant.

Currently, more than four lakh cars are manufactured at this plant that are exported to more than 50 different countries across four continents.
