Syndicate Bank gathers 3,500 fresh ideas to bring in ease of use in digital banking

Syndicate Bank has gathered over 3,500 crowd sourcing ideas from developers across the country with a view to bring ease of use in digital banking.

The bank had partnered with HackerEarth, a developer assessment software, to conduct a country-wide hackathon. Synd Innovate Hackathon, was an exercise to discover better and efficient ways of improving digital banking and enhancing customer experience. Some of the outstanding ideas that came up included, a solution for ease of e-payment for technically challenged users.

Mrutyunjay Mahapatra, MD & CEO, Syndicate Bank said, “Fintech collaboration and open co-creation is the basic of new age digital banking. It was overwhelming to witness how much talent our country has in store. The innovation displayed by every team was par excellence.”

Syndicate Bank has been cohesively working towards improving customer experience everyday with increased emphasis on new generation and millennial customers. “Today’s customers are demanding services and convenience banking at a different level all together. The ideas presented were beyond our expectations and the bank looks forward to implementing suitable ones,” said Atul Kumar, CIO, Syndicate Bank.
