Suspended CMD refuses to give voice sample

Suspended Syndicate Bank CMD S.K. Jain, who has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation for allegedly receiving bribes from private companies to grant credit extensions, has refused to give his voice sample along with four other accused persons.

During the six-month-long surveillance, the agency had recorded their telephonic conversations. Based on the findings, a trap was laid and the accused persons were arrested.

The CBI sought voice samples from the accused persons to match them with the recorded conversations. However, CBI sources said, Mr. Jain, his relatives Vineet and Puneet Godha, besides Ved Prakash Agarwal and Vijay Pahuja have refused to give their voice samples.
