Royal Enfield November sales up 52 per cent

Eicher Motors on Monday said its motorcycle division Royal Enfield reported a 52 per cent jump in total sales in November at 27,542 units as against 18,131 units in the same month last year.

The company said its domestic sales of bikes increased by 53 per cent during the month to 27,198 units as against 17,752 units in the year-ago period.

However, the number of motorcycle units exported during the month declined by 9 per cent to 344 units as against 379 units in November 2013.

The company said the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity up to 350cc increased by 54 per cent at 24,610 units against 16,017 units in the same period a year ago.

The sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350cc increased by 39 per cent at 2,932 units as against 2,114 units in November last year.
