OBD-compliant vehicle from Ashok Leyland

Ashok Leyland, on Monday, rolled out its BS-IV engine powered on board diagnostic (OBD) compliant vehicle.

This initiative is part of the legislation that comes into effect on April 1, on all BS-IV commercial vehicle above 3.5 tonne, the company said. On board diagnostic detects failures that affect emissions and illuminates a dashboard light known as the malfunction indicator lamp to warn the driver of faults.
